Nurse Aides who pass the state licensing exam serve as the first line of care on the nursing team to patients in variety of settings. Patient care areas range from nursing home, hospice, hospitals, home care and more.

Enrollment Requirements
Must be 17 years of age or older
GED or High School Diploma or Pass literacy exam with 75% or higher.

Negative PPD Test
If you have a background concern, please let us know and different clinicals may be arranged. Students do NOT have to supply Wellstar requirements if they conduct labs onsite at the school.
Do I Need any Prior Nurse Aide Training?
No. Being a Certified Nurse Aide requires you to take and pass a Nurse Aide Training Program and pass the state licensing exam.
